Abstract
In this paper, the authors carry out a detailed analysis of several speeches pronounced by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, between 1962 and 2008. The main objective is the emphasize attached by Fidel on the importance to the industrial and geologist-mining activity. The review of historical documents and bibliographies from different historical sources was used as the main research method. The main conclusion is that mining geologist activity, together with the training of professionals in the branch and industrialization, were recurring themes throughout Fidel’s life
